The Picture behind Even As Bones

 


I came across this picture a couple years ago and thought to write a peom on it. So many things about it gave me a poetic nudge. From the moon in the background (you'll get to know, I'm a huge Selenophile), to the heart shape formed by the tree, to the body language between those two. Looks like love to me.

Weak we've become, our bodies begin to ache But our bond sticks so strong, even the grave cannot break With you by my side, every pang i can go through Also to die with you, the power of love so true For worse, for better, for pain, or for pleasure The moments we shared, my heart will forever treasure Death seems like pleasure knowing that you're mine Together and forever we share that love divine Till death do us part was the promise we made But even in death we walk as a pair, the price for which we've paid Always and forever we prayed and wished to spend Forever is a really long time, our love to tend I'll love to see you when I shut my eyes And share the grave, no matter the size As we go down this death road together With you i long to spend my forever Even as our bodies turn to sand and our bones crisp as cones I will forever love you, even as bones

 Hello there! My name is Kyellanum Jemima, but you can call me KJ. I'm a girl who's always deep in thought and I figured I could share them on here.
